Hi! I’m Abby.
HOW I GOT HERE.
After graduating from an expensive liberal arts college without a plan for how to pay back the enormous pile of student loans I had borrowed, I started tutoring students for the ACT and SAT as a side hustle.
What began as a means of making ends meet turned into a passion when I discovered that these tests offer students a TON of potential. For one, they could be a student’s ticket to their dream school in a world where college admissions is becoming more competitive every year. What’s more, these tests are a key part of how some schools calculate merit-based scholarships.
Once I understood the impact that these scores could have, including possibly making my students eligible for thousands of dollars towards tuition, I decided to dedicate my work to helping students with every aspect of the college admission process - beyond just SAT and ACT prep.
I started The Prepared Student to fill in all of the gaps that leave students, like my former self, struggling to fully plan for college with confidence. Today, I am a Certified College Counselor, and my work with The Prepared Student focuses on equipping students around the globe with everything they need to not only score well but to feel proud and prepared applying to their dream schools.

Last but not least, we’ll work on boosting your student’s confidence in their ability to succeed on test day so they can conquer any test anxiety.

On average, students who dedicate time to the process raise their ACT scores by 3 or more points and SAT scores by 100 or more points after 4 to 6 weeks of tutoring.
